Mine did this too on the first day I got it, as soon as I loaded the engine
(fed in some clutch) the idle would return to around 1100 rpm and stay
there, then as soon as I increased revs again it would idle around 1800 rpm
again. Today we put on about 250 miles and the only time I noticed it was
when I started it up from cold it idled fast for a few seconds, then came
down to 1100. Was pretty cool the first day and warm today, still not sure
if that had anything to do with it or not.

Got my tank bag today, everything else (manual, top rack, fender extensions,
silencer, tank protector) is still on order. I think the bars are low enough
that I am going to get either risers (genmar) or Heli if they make
something. Has anyone heard from Heli and will they accommodate the heated
grips? I seem to be scratching the back of the tank up a bit just because my
jacket is rubbing on it a bit. I'm 6' and seem to have some difficulty
keeping away from it.
