Slick 50, like any oil additive, serves mainly to lighten your wallet. Even
if the Teflon [1] *could* be convinced to stick to the metal parts, it would
tend to stick better and build up thicker in areas where there was no
relative movement [2] rather than the parts that actually need the help [3].

[2] Such as oil passages, the oil pan, and the oil filter
[3] E.G. the bearings being starved of oil by those teflon-clogged oil
