Same problem with mine Eric; the key will go in (without the bags on!) but will not turn at all.
How do get the seat off to re-route the cable? I guess I will take it in to the dealer and get them to sort it so they dont screw up on the next machine - at least someone can profit from my misfortune.
Just received the official gestempelt german recall notice from another useless vestige of the german bureaucratic monster; of course this means that until I have the stamp from the dealer saying the recall has been fixed/processed I am not insured to ride the bike. Good to see that 30% of the population are so usefully employed.....:(

Paul, that's about where mine exits as well. I did have to bend one piece
on the mounting plate slightly as my lock originally wouldn't work at all.
Unfortunately I can't remember now which piece I "finessed" - sorry...
Did that help any?

BTW, I can still turn the lock, but find it almost impossible to get the
key into the lock with the bags on (and keys on a keyring). Too bad they
didn't move the whole assembly forward another 1"-2"....
