Troy,

Your experiences are dead on --- there's only one problem, the Valentine
that others have mentioned on the list (which I also have), is the clear
exception.  This thing is such a superb piece of equipment (and the most
expensive at around $400 U.S.), but it has paid for itself several times
over for me relative to the number of times it has picked up radar
looooooooong before I would have ever seen a police vehicle.  There is no
comparison to this piece of technology and the other radar detectors out
there (this thing even picks up police BEHIND me!).
