I have already tied the black trim attachment points together from the inside with the aluminum extrusion brace that didn't work.  The brace also attached these points to the four windshield mounting screws.  As I wrote earlier this did a great job of stiffening the windshield wings but did nothing to change the mirror vibrations.  Your version would certainly work better for the accessories though!!
