Re[2]: Strange hose



As I recall this is an oil drain from the airbox.  Don't want to let the oil out
in front of the rear tire so it's plugged.  Remove plug, drain, replace plug is 
an occasional service.  Or something like that.
     
     Yup, that's pretty much it. The hose collects condensation and blowback 
     from the throttle bodies and gets it out of the box. Periodically you open 
     the plug, drain and replace. The line is plugged to stop air being sucked 
     in rather than to protect the tyres though.
     
     Guzzis do have a line to collect the oil but this is because the oil 
     breather box and air box are a combined unit. Once the bores start to wear 
     the resulting blowback causes the air filter element to be bathed in used 
     engine oil. Truely ingenious. :)
