Thanks Marc,
I want to swap out the standard pipe for a race pipe and for the moment the
genuine Triumph article seems to be the only viable option but I was worried
about the way the outer covering is simply wrapped around the silencer instead
of being a proper sealed tube. From what you're saying this was not the cause of
your problem.
Does anyone have any idea on the weight difference between the stainless
performance can and the standard exhaust?
My main aim is to loose a little weight to partly offset the weight of the
panniers and to produce enough noise to cover over the sound of the motor at
tickover. At the moment I think the motor sounds like a small marine diesel at
tickover. :)
Martin
Martin,
The hole appeared where the exhaust is fitted at the bottom of the bike.
I didn't hit the exhaust, otherwise it wouldn't be a gaurantee job.
I try to get a picture of it. Maybe they already sent it back to Triumph.
Marc.
