Valve Clearances

I disassembled the bike tonight in preparation for checking the =
clearances tomorrow. Supposed to rain here and that was just the excuse =
I needed to get me doing something. Took about 1 hour to get to the to =
the point of valve cover removal, then probably 1/2 hour cleaning and =
waxing. I have just over 6,000 miles and should have clearances to post =
tomorrow. I noticed a 1/4 to 3/8 inch hole in the air box, on the bottom =
side between the air intakes, slightly to the right side when looking =
from the seat position. I can't see anything that looks like it goes in =
it; Anyone have an idea what it is?
