MCN gives the nod to the VFR

El Ricardo, The Woodlands, TX reports:
>>Despite only trailing the VFR in one area, MCN gives the nod to the VFR
for
some reason. Though they say the Sprint is "not that far off" and state
that
either bike is an excellent choice.<<

The reason for that would be that MCN's editorial policy *always*
gives the nod to Honda if there is any way they can justify it. For such a
supposedly unbiased publication, they sure seem to have biases as I see it.
But, why wouldn't they? No one, except a complete idiot, can progress
through life without picking up opinions. Having opinions is nothing to be
ashamed of. <G>
What humors me, though, is that MCN tries to hide its opinions
under a barrage of "facts". Take that reported 89 hp the Sprint produced--
MCN is the one and only report that I've seen giving the Sprint fewer than
100 rwhp. I'm relatively certain that they could, if asked, produce a dyno
printout certifying their results, but I wonder whether they waited to do
the test until the valves had tightened up or something? Surely Triumph
wouldn't have been so foolish as to give them an untuned bike to test.
