I'm not sure if it stays on or not, but the last bike that I used with an
accessory outlet stayed on even when the key was off.

Again, not sure, but I am almost positive that the optimate (sp?) charging
adaptor plugs directly into this socket, which would lead me to believe
that it does stay hot.
