I am familiar with two products, one by SOR (can't find a website for them)
and the other from Kriss

I have used the SOS on my old sprint, and know people that have the
Tailgunner from Kriss. I was not satisfied with the size of the SOS unit,
but functionally it worked great. Both these systems will work on the rears
(which is where you need the extra light) and allow stock operation of the
turn signals. Just remember that "other than stock" lighting may or may not
be legal in all localities.

As for going yellow on the lights, you can simply change the bulbs (which
will necessitate pulling the fairing). Any reason that you want yellow and
not the high intensity blue / white ?

·With ignition on both turns signals are on at half brightness.
·When either brake applied, both signals pulsate for 1.5 seconds and then
transfer to full brightness.
·When signal activated, it functions as normal with the other side
remaining at half brightness or full brightness if brake applied
simultaneously (to avoid confusion, the pulsing feature does not function
when turn signals are activated).

TailGunner Lights (www.Kriss.com)
Running Lights, Brake Lights & Turn Signals using the turn signals lights
This is an XLT Pro-line product
The TailGunner unit electronically operates your rear turn signals (single
filament bulbs) not only as running lights but also brake lights. The
original motorcycle brake light is not affected in any manner. Our unit
offers a running light mode that has a lower intensity than the turn
signals or the braking mode. This means that your bulb now appears not only
like a dual filament bulb but also with some fancy features. The lights
will be illuminated steady as running lights to help make your motorcycle
more visible. The running light mode intensity automatically becomes
brighter during the daytime and reduces at night time to levels easily seen
under each of these conditions. When you apply the brakes the running light
mode turns off and both lights flash at full intensity and then go to
steady ?ON?. During the daytime they quickly flash six times and during the
night time they flash four times at a slower rate. These flash rates are
adjusted automatically to compensate for the bright daytime light
conditions which usually make lighting more difficult to see by the other
motorists. The sophisticated TailGunner system keeps a light out for those
bogies at 6 o'clock.
If either of the turn signals are operated then the running light mode and
the brake flashing sequence are overridden and the turn signal flashes
normally. We felt that the turn signal operation would be enough to
increase visibility and any other operating lights might be confusing to
someone that is following. In this case the standard brake light and an
operating turn signal normally increases visibility enough at the rear of
the motorcycle. Our design eliminates the confusion that was created by
other units which ran the signal lights all the time and flashed a light
OFF to indicate a turn, while the other side stayed lit. We felt that
design was very confusing. Most drivers expect to see a turn signal turn ON
to indicate a turn and might be puzzled if it was turning off instead or
the other side was also ON. When the turn signal stops, then depending on
what you are doing at that time, either the running light mode or the
braking mode will return.
The great thing about this unit is that you don't have to be fooling around
trying to modify the turn signal housings and installing new sockets and
bulbs. The unit is simple to install and its small size, 2.5" x 2' x 1",
permits tucking it neatly under the seat.
All items come with a wiring diagram and instructions. If you need
additional wiring diagrams they can be ordered and faxed to you separately
(see order form).
(other than stock lighting may or may not be legal in all localities)
