As for the problem, you have opened the tank before trying to start?

Subject: HELP!!

Howdy Folks,
Well, it seems I have a bit of a problem that I have not yet seen on
the list. My ST has 600 miles on it (taking it in for service next week),
rode it to work this morning ..... everything just fine. NOW THE BLOODY
THING WON'T START. It doesn't sound like the fuel pump is pressurizing the
system. Right now I would kill to be one of those guys that can't "get rid
of the buzzing noise"!! Trust me, much better that way, at least you can
get home! Anyone have any ideas what I could check for, I'd appreciate it.
A list of things already checked:
	1.) Fuses ALL good.
2.) I can hear what sounds like the system trying to pressurize
when I have the seat off, but it is VERY faint and does not sound like it
is coming from the tank. (more of an electrical noise coming from the area
below and in front of the seat area, I can also hear a "relay" type noise at
the end of this sound)
	3) The motor is turning over and the low pressure light is going
out on the dash. ( in fact I'm pleased at how long I have been able to crank
without killing the battery!)
	4) kick-stand is up and bike is in neutral ( i.e..- it is working
fine without any cut-out operation taking place, just no fuel)

Sorry for the long wind, by the way I do have around 2 gal. of gas in it,
first thing I checked. ANY ideas would be of help, especially if you have a
service manual, mine isn't in yet. I live in Atlanta and WAS going to Road
Atlanta for the AMA Superbike races this weekend on my new Sprint :( now
I'd just like to be able to get home!

Thanks,
Dave Smoot
