Hey Mark and others in the area (SoCal),
Welcome to the group!
I ride just about every wkd also and we're having a camp trip to the
Kern on June 19,20 leaving from Karens Kitchen in Lancaster, just West
of Sierra Hwy on Ave. K @ 8:00 am (for breakfast) probably leave @ 9:00
or so to go up the 14/395 and blast through Sherman Pass (yes it's open
but dirty) and then down to the Kern River valley. Some great roads in
there and should be a terrific trip. The campgrounds are all open, so
finding a spot shouldn't be a prob. Sherman pass is at 9200 ft. So the
pine trees and scenery are pretty cool. It doesn't matter what you ride,
as long as you ride and respect.
