Re: RE: Intermittent complete loss of power

I checked the ignition leads after returning from a long weeknd trip, and the clutch cable had cut through the protective sleeving on the ignition lead, so I cut the cable tie. The lead seems happy for now being lose - just hangs over the clutch cable.

I had not seen any problems in the first 5000km but once it starts to go it seems to wear through very quickly so perhaps its worth others looking to see if things have changed on their machines and re-route the ignition lead away from the clutch cable?

thanks for listening.

I'll check that then - but I found the problem. It happened outside my
office yesterday afternoon - completly dead. I popped off the seat again
with the key in the ignition and started wiggleing wires and found a loose
positive battery cable. I'll be keeping an eye on that bast**d I will.
