Re: Black Widow exhaust

Dear Rich (and others)
Please note that 'Wolf Racing' and 'Black Widow' underseat pipes are totally different products - the general concensus on this last year seemed to be that the BW system was alot better made and better finished; there are probably photographs of both on the T5net.com web page.
I bought two Wolf slip-on pipes and sent them both back, eventually getting a partial refund (still not happy) one year later; cynically I would have to say that this is simply because Wolf know that information is shared from one list to another and that one 'cheated' customer could loose them alot of sales on a new product; perhaps consumer power is finally with the biker?
I would hope that the underseat system is better made than the CF oval and Ti oval slip-ons I tried; both had poor quality glass fibre wrap and a gap betwee the end-caps and wrap (CF or Ti) - the GF started to fly out the gap within 150km of use; after 300km the cans were unusably loud.
Perhaps this answer what their underseat exhausts are famous for? :)
Good luck - my only advice is that you pick your exhaust product very carefully, or be prepared to spend alot of money returning poor products and losing alot in 'refunds'. I will be sticking with the Triumph Al wrap 'race' can - the one on my 509 is still superb in sound, finish and looks. Besides which it doesn't invalidate the warranty :)
cheers
Jonathan
