Forgot one thing; for those in central Europe (D, A, CH etc.) where having both headlights simultaneously 'on' for dipped or high beam was illegal, and therefore all Triumphs are supplied with right unit only for dipped and left for high beam....

Triumph supply two identical 'shorting connector blocks' to 'fix this'; these are white/blue with black leads; these plug into the two white plastic sockets which are loose under the front fairing, usually on the extreme left and right of the headlights assembly.  The cost in Germany was DM13.
They took 7 weeks to get here, so perhaps you can find the appropriate connector at your local electrical/electronics shop.
