NA Rally & Lodging

Hi Guys & Gals!

I am still convinced that the last weekend in August is going to be the
weekend when we will be able to get the most people to the Rally, so
plan on arriving on Thursday, August 26 and leaving on Sunday, August
29. I know it will be hot, so I do not suggest that anyone try to camp
unless they like roasting all night!!

As for lodging, I have contacted several hotels/motels via e-mail and I
have found two that I am particularly interested in. I want your INPUT
over the weekend, though, as to which one you all prefer. Each has some
info on the web, and I will give you the address.

First is the Tall Pines Motor Inn. It is a relatively small
establishment. The rates for the weekend will be $65or $59/night for
an individual cabin;$59 or $55/night for a duplex cabin (each side);
$75or$79/night for a suite (no jacuzzi); $89/night for a suite with
jacuzzi, based on double occupancy. They have 7 individual cabins, 7
duplex cabins (14 "rooms"), 2 larger suites, and 4 jacuzzi suites. You
can find more information at
http://www.eureka-springs-usa.com/tallpines/ . From the pictures on the
net and in their brochure, it looks as though we would be able to park
our bikes right outside of our cabins.

Second is the Best Western Swiss Holiday Resort. Its rates are as
follows:
Standard room with double beds
Thur- $59 Fri- $69 Sat- $69
Two Queen Beds
Thur- $65 Fri- $75 Sat- $75
One King Bed
Thus- $69 Fri- $79 Sat- $79.
Should we desire to use their services, for a fee, they provide
motorcycle tours, and if we have 6 or more bikes, there is a 10%
discount. I would imagine we can come up with our own rides. They do
have a BBQ pit by their pool which could make for a nice evening
gathering/meal one evening. I have yet to inquire about such a thing at
Tall Pines. You can find more information at
http://www.eureka-net.com/swissholiday/ .

Tall Pines is certainly more unique and we would make up more of the
"population" there than we would at the Best Western. The rates are
also marginally better at Tall Pines. For these reasons, I tend to
prefer Tall Pines, though the Best Western would also be nice.

Well, let me know what you think. You may respond directly to me at
RedRiders@xxxxxxxx I need to contact one or the other at the first part
of next week to set all of this up as a "sure thing". I will then post
to the list as to the group name you will need to refer to when making
your reservations and whether you need to call or if you can make
reservations on line.

Hope to hear from all those interested soon! I'll be out of town until
sometime Sunday--this time with the ST :-))).

Lisa
