I would assume that you are referring to the piece that would be used as
the "normal" tank protector to protect where your jacket would rub on the
tank. Imagine that piece as half (cut down the middle) of a fat "Y". The
piece was too big to copy, so I cut it in half. To construct the
appropriate piece, lay it on a larger piece of paper, trace around the edge
and then flip it over and trace it on the other side.

As I noted in the instructions, the piece in that size is a challenging
install. I would recommend making it a little narrower and a little shorter
from the top. If you would like, I will outline the piece on my bike and
email the picture to give you a better idea of its orientation
