Just got off the phone with my dealer/wrench.  Thay had a T5 earlier this year
leaking from around the shifter axle entry, and replaced the seal, and that
wasn't it.  There is a threaded bolt/plug just above and slightly forward of
the shifter axle entry, and this was leaking.  Torquing this to spec eliminated
the leak.  They are going to try this on mine prior to opening the sump, for
the sump bolt recall, so that if that isn't it, and they do need to replace
the 
shifter axle seal, they don't have to open it up twice.

So you might try torquing this plug to spec and see if that stops your leak.
