Erik,
Go with the 50 at the high end. The basic gist of this is that the
higher the number on the right side of the label the thicker the oil stays
at a given temp. Also the higher the temp the oil can be used in. The
range they give on the label 10-40 or 20-50 make an oil more broad temp
ranged than just a SAE 40 or 30.
So if you live in a climate that is hotter than England is use the highest
grade you can get. By the by, the number on the left is for colder climate
use so the motor is properly lubed at lower temps. I have found this
synthetic oil in 15-50 and 20-50 and I would use the 20-50 for Southern CA,
which is where I am at and I have used this oil without incident and changed
the oil at the manufacturers suggested distance.

So I guess basically it's the same stuff except for the weight. 10-40
vs 15-50 so could someone please tell me if that's going to matter?
what is the temperature range of 10-40 vs 15-50?? I'll assume that
the 10 -40 goes lower in temp but how much higher does the 50 go??
