If you look in some of the components magazine that are around. They sell
CCD cameras and other spy junk and I think I have seen detector kits in
there. Can't give you a name though, only seen a mag like this about three
years ago.

I always thought that it would be kind of neat and "for entertainment
purpose only" to build a radar detector out of sold separately components
(It is kind of difficult stomaching the idea of taking a perfectly good
detector and disassembling it). It would be pretty cool to have the thing
installed and hidden...no mess, no fuss, and hopefully no fuzz!! My only
problem is that I would not know what to buy exactly, or how to piece it
together. I seriously doubt that someone offers a kit.... perhaps
instructions or plans??? I mean, we can get plans to build nukes "for
educational or entertainment value", or buy "brass knuckle paperweights" off
of the internet right?
