Valentine Detector

Hmmm... this, coupled with:

makes me wonder if your V1 isn't quite up to snuff. I know that the
lidar circuit is pretty sensitive to low voltage conditions, so a bad
power connection will frequently cause bogus lidar alerts. Also, direct
sunlight through the windshield (like when you're driving into the
setting sun) will sometimes trick my V1 into emitting a lidar alert for
about a second.

I'd suggest trying a different power circuit to hook your V1 into, or
maybe even a trip back to the factory for some refreshing -- that Bel
shouldn't be going off because of your V1!

***Well, I called Valentine, yesterday. They said to send the unit back and
they would perform what they call the "Airport Upgrade". Basically, it was
explained to me that they would ground the Laser board better and improve
the sheilding on the detector. The technician says that he can't guarantee
100% that this will fix the problem. He also said that the other detector
shouldn't be detecting the Valentine, either. I've got my fingers crossed
since I bought this detector specifically for my bike and so far I haven't
been able to use it.***
