I had thought of running up 19 from Clearwater -- 50mph between
stoplights that are red for 5 minutes at a time! And 45 stoplights
between home and Weeki Wachi Springs. It would be an easy way to put 100
miles on in short order with varying speed, but based on this advice I
think I'll do a 30 mile loop through the country that I know. And take
a break between each loop.

Good thought.

Bite your tongue! Never gone near those things and never will.

Now that sounds like a great way to let the bike cool off between
sessions. Show it off. :-)

Good advice.

I have it booked for the 500 mile service interval next Wednesday (a
week tomorrow). That way I'll pick it up ready to go for the 4-day
Thanksgiving weekend. What could be better? :-)

And a buddy is organizing a group ride Friday after Thanksgiving. If we
can figure out what to do with at least one of our children Willemina
and I will both ride. Being a new rider my wife isn't ready for a
passenger yet.

Try riding around the Tampa Bay area in the miserable traffic we have
here. You get used to it. :-(

Thank you, and thanks for all the useful advice.
