Re: Rattling noise



I had a rattling/heavy ticking noise in my St about a month ago. It ended up
being a warranty repair! The problem was with the pin, or whatever you call
it, that connects the piston to the connecting rod. There was way too much
play between the pin and the connecting rod. I just got her back today after
a months wait. The good part was that Triumph is footing the bill and
instead of me taking her in for her 1000 mile (european) service, I got my
engine rebuilt for free!

Hope yours isn't as serious as mine was. Hopefully it's something really
simple.
