Martin,
I was one of the people having a similar handling problems as
yourself. Martin Wilson was the other person but since he's changed
his Sprint for a B12 he's probably not too worried any more.
After spending a weekend with all the bodywork off the bike and going
over every chassis nut and bolt with a torque wrench and the manual I
was tearing my hair out. I did check the tyre for signs of cupping but
must admit I didn't spin it and look for deformations. I'll check the
tyres profile carefully over the weekend.
Were the deformities in the sidewalls or the threaded part of the
tyre?
Thanks for the heads up. That could have lead to a very messy problem.

The tire was removed and sure enough there was some form of separation
of the plys internal to the tire. When I was taking a look at the
inside of the tire there were two very deep tears in the internal
rubber.
