Re: Wiring harness

	Where did it melt?

Any chance part of the harness got pinched in some way during the
alarm
	installation ?

It melted at the harness under the rear fairing on the rear
turn indicators/rear brake light/horn circuit. Three of the wires had
completely melted together into a nasty charred mess.

That was my initial thought; that the alleged "Triumph
trained specialist" technician had done such a cack-handed job of installing
the alarm he damaged the harness. The dealer denies this, of course. My bike
was in the shop for three weeks while they did the harness swap - hence why
I missed the Eureka Springs trip. I have lost any confidence in their
"expert" Triumph tech. He had no clue how to operate the alarm either! I had
to phone up Triumph in the UK to get help. BTW, they were incredible
helpful, professional and courteous.
