I don't know yet how liable the driver is. The insurance claims adjuster is supposed to contact me on Monday. I will learn more then.

Yes I did scrape the can. I forgot to mention it. The rear brake pedal is $75. I ordered one right away. It's the only piece the makes riding a nuisance.  Ironically, last week, the dealer had already ordered a new mirror for me under warranty due to a faulty boot. I removed the fairing and straighten the brackets somewhat to get the fairing off of the frame and the radiator.

I rode it to the dealer and left it there for the claims adjuster see there. It was like leaving a small child at the hospital.

On the trip home with my wife I told her I have to play the "I'm invisible" game more frequently. We started joking about Richard Mulligan on the late 70's television show "Soap."

The accident gave me the incentive to fix the stripped head bolts on my 1980 Honda CM400T. After a few hours my old putt-putt was on the road.
