Heat shield alternative

I peeled off the original and was looking for a replacement that will stick. I finally decided to try adhesive aluminum tape (maybe an inch and a half wide, no foam). I carefully cleaned the fairing and started applying it, cutting slits in it as necessary to let it conform to the curves. I lined all edges with superglue to discourage water penetration. The "area" still gets warm, but the heat is dispersed to a larger area than before, when the original bubbled out and burnt through. I don't know how well it will hold long term, as time will only tell, but I am happy with the results so far. I have been running my ST without the lowers for a couple of months, and decided to try this idea and put em back on. Sure enough, I scraped the right side in a turn :)
