Another new subscriber

I've been mostly lurking on the Triumph digest since June, biding my
time and gaining riding experience.  You see, although I'm 42 I'd never
ridden (except pillion) before this summer.

In June I took the MSF course and at the end of that month bought an '86
Nighthawk 450 as my starter bike.  It had less than 5000 miles on it!
I'm coming up to 2100 miles on it now.

So why was I lurking on the Triumph digest all that time? It was a visit
to a Triumph dealer that finally got me riding.  You see, I fell in love
with those beautiful bikes, right on the spot.  I didn't know which bike
I wanted (all of them!) but I knew a Triumph was in my future.

So why am I now on the Sprint list? Guess! Yep, the Triumph demo truck
was in town this weekend and I took an ST for a spin.  WOW! I'm hooked!

I also took the Trophy 1200 out (before the Sprint, then again the next
day with my wife riding pillion just to be sure of what I wanted).  It
didn't do it for me.  Maybe if I was planning to do a lot of
long-distance riding, but possibly not even then.

My riding consists of in-town commuting and errands (the bike has become
our 2nd vehicle) and day trips in the country.  Maybe in the future very
long weekend trips from Clearwater, FL to Dallas, TX to visit a buddy,
or a week-long trip to Canada to visit family in the summer.

I don't need to tell you people that the Sprint ST will do all that and
do it well.  :-)

Anyway, I now have my pickup and 5th wheel camping trailer up for sale. 
As soon as they move I'll be into the Triumph shop to pick up that
beautiful blue model sitting on the floor.  :-)

Already had one phone call from Mobile, AL inquiring.  The guy wants to
come see them next week, so I might be a Sprint rider just into
November.  :-)
