Hello to everyone on the ST mailing list. =20
I purchased a blue 2000 Sprint ST a month ago. Thanks to the wonderful =
weather we've been having this Fall in Utah, I'm almost through the 1000 =
mile break in period !! With heated hand grips and the 3 bag luggage =
system, I'll keep riding until there's snow in the weather forecast.
This summer, I read reviews in Cycle World and Motorcycle Consumer News =
which praised the Sprint ST for it's handling and touring capabilities. =
One day I was out running errands near the Triumph dealer, and I decided =
to stop in and go for a demo ride on the ST. I had no real intentions of =
actually buying one. Well, all it took was one test =
drive................and I HAD to have the Sprint! My current =
motorcycle (Ninja 750) was no longer much fun to ride. The Sprint =
handled so much better, and I could lock my stuff on the bike (hard =
luggage) instead of shlepping it around. So now I'm a Triumph owner.
I'd be interested in anyone who had the Triumph dealer install heated =
hand grips on the bike. My right handlebar throws out about 4 times as =
much heat as the left handlebar. My dealer charged me three hours of =
labor to install them (!!!) and didn't notice any difference in heat =
output.
Thanks
