Re: It's Saturday and I survived the week.

Congratulations on the new bike! I have had mine, a black 99 model, for
exactly 1 week now and will hit the 500 mile mark sometime today. The
riding position was a real pain for me too but you get used to it really
quickly. If you have access to a 10-speed bicycle get on it and ride it
around for a couple minutes, you'll see that the riding position is very
similar and will quickly realize how to spread your weight more evenly when
you get back on the bike.

I picked up the Triumph Tankbag today, it's as nice as the bike itself and
even allows you to lean against it to spread even more weight off your
wrists. Something to consider before you get the risers.

One other thing, something I am still trying to learn, is to NEVER lock your
elbows. Just keeping the elbows loose does more to relieve the pain than
anything else I have found in the week I've had the bike.

BTW - when you hit 300 miles you get to go 100 mph, it's fantastic! Bring
on 7000rpm!
