I have been giving this one some thought. I have heard that tires are
damaged/worn the most by heat cycles (correct me if I am wrong). We all
know that tires are speed rated as well.
So the thought comes to mind what factors determine tire wear. Here's what
I come up with and not necessarily in order of importance or a complete
list.

	Heat cycles
		Wrist control(lead hand/or not)
		Weight of the rider(s)
				Type of riding(twisties/freeway)
				Speed of typical travel(average speed)
				Typical weather were riding(ambient temps)
	      Ground finish were riding(rough/smooth)
Type of tire(tyre <-- English) compound used.

I have a question or two on this. Are all tires dual compound? If so where
is the, proverbial, line between hard and soft? If no line, is the
transition gradual? If it is gradual how do the manufacturers qualify the
blend?

Martin

1 - Tire that was on the bike (brand, model and size)

2 - Mileage and tread left (for those changing tires before
wear bars show)

3 - What you replaced it with (or same)

		4 - Any comments

This will give ST tire shoppers a little more info plus we
can start to see
		what average wear patterns are.
