I put the CF pipe on my 99 and had OC Triumph re-tune the EFI. The download
took appx 5 minutes, and after that was complete the mechanic put the
exhaust gas analyzer in her poop chute ( bike's not mechanic's) and re-tuned
it to 3% CO. If memory serves, it was about 1% CO initially with the tune
installed. As far as fuel economy, I figure appx. 45 mpg. Them's USA miles,
USA gallons.
As far as all the posts re: loose bolts, that's why there is Loctite. Too
long a kickstand? Cut, weld, grind, paint. If you have ever owned a bike,
you know that it is always an ongoing project as far as maintenance and
repair, and for the more ambitious, modification.

My dealer, (Dunbar Eurosport in Brockton, Mass, USA) did have a CO meter
and did reset the CO after installing the carbon performance can on my Yr
2000 Sprint. I don't know any more details, such as if this can be done
on '99s or not.

declined quite a bit, and that their exhaust is now covered in black carbon?
I am pretty sure the EFI is running too rich, but overall it seems to run
more or less ok - sometimes it idles too low (900rpm) and the oil light
comes on.

to guess, and this is the problem - should they adjust it to a lower % or a
higher one to get a leaner mix?
