Don't feel too bad about the owner's manual being in German.  I had a similar
problem with my ST when new.  I needed to adjust the chain after 100 miles, so
I pulled out the owner's manual and the tool kit.  After finding the
instructions and reading them thoroughly I opened up my tool kit to find the
"C" shaped wrench to adjust the eccentric, but only found lots of strange
tools that fit nothing on the bike.  I took the bike to my dealer the next day
and asked how to adjust the chain with the tools.  They stared at the tool kit
for quite some time until they eventually figured out someone at the factory
had installed the wrong kit.  I had to wait a month to get the correct one and
they never did figure out which Triumph the weird tool kit fit.
