Peter,
I suspect it's because Triumph doesn't have a bike that can compete, plus
the enormous expense. Remember that the rules are based around a 750cc 4
cylinder. Twins get 1000cc. I don't think Triples get a break on
displacement. Unless they have a realistic chance of winning an event, I
would guess that the return wouldn't justify the cost. Think of Harley w/
their miserable performance in American Superbike racing.
