Re: Junk in the text??

Thanks for the email James (and others). Sorry in advance to those on the
digest as the tail end of this message is going to look pretty poor in the
digest.

If you are not familiar with the problem, look below my message for a
sample of what they are talking about. The program that puts the messages
in digest form does not like html and does a really nice job of making a
mess of the messages.

Please, Please, Please do not send your messages using HTML ! It is a very
easy thing to change on your email. If you are using Outlook (which a lot
are), you can do 1 of 2 things.

1 - Go to TOOLS, OPTIONS, SEND tab, and click on PLAIN TEXT under Mail
Sending Options. This will send all email from this machine as plain text.

or

2 - Go to ADDRESSES and create a new contact for the email address
"ST@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" and then click on the "Send Email using plain text"
option. Then to send an email, you can just choose this name from the
address book and just those messages will be in plain text.

Other email programs have similar features which can be used to turn off
the HTML.

Also, while I am in this mode, please remember to cut down the emails when
replying. You can leave the relevant information, but delete the extra
including the multiple list tag lines that get added to the end of each
message. Some of the more replied to emails end up with the TriumphNet
information multiple times at the bottom which really makes ready the
digest cumbersome.

Basically it is just a matter of having some consideration for those that
must use the digest to stay on the list. I don't want to loose anyones
contributions - when faced with pages of hard to read text, how many people
will continue to put up with it ?

Thanks - <rant mode off>
