I and all the neighbors witnessed my husband dropping a Triumph Trident  
which had a steering damper on it (borrowed bike from the dealer when his 
Trophy was being serviced).  I had the biggest laugh in years and he has 
never lived it down (he USED to brag about how better he was than me at
