Re: Gas Leak!!!!



Hi David,

I´m sorry to hear about this trouble. I just had a look into my ST/RS shop
manual. Funny enough - there are two different torque values for the same
bolts (there is a total of 14 bolts holding the plate):

 5 Nm according to the respective picture
 6 Nm according to the text section

It´s not a big difference anyway. Just make sure you use the same value for
all bolts. The shop manual writes in bolded letters: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN
THESE BOLTS! This is because the nuts are embedded in the tank and could be
pulled out by overtightening the bolts. Hopefully this is not what has
happened to your tank!
