Re: ST owners in my vicinity

Mt. St. Helens has some of the best motorcycle roads I've been on. I was up
there in 1989 on my way up to Alaska on a KLR650. Boy did I wish I had a
sportbike. They had just repaved all the roads and they were sticky and
smooth.

One downside, the morning I was leaving I encountered the worst fog I have
ever seen. Visibility was about 10 feet. I tried waiting it out but it
wasn't burning off so finally I made my way down at about 10mph. It was a
struggle. On the way I passed a Gold Wing with a trailer going the other
way, and I didn't envy him at all.

If you're going near that area, Mt. St. Helens is great for the ride, the
hiking, and the views. Highly recommended.
