fuel leak

 Anyone heard of this before? My friend has a new RS (two weeks old)
which has had a fuel leak since it was delivered. 

 His dealer has diagnosed the problem as the fuel sending unit and
says they've had 3 or 4 that leaked and had to be replaced. I don't
remember seeing any mention of this particular source of gas leaking
on the list, although I've read about 2 or 3 other causes.

 He's now waiting for the back-ordered unit; anybody have more
information on this problem?
