I disagree with your salesman. I think Triumph has a pretty good set of
recommendations for breaking in their bikes, even if the first 100 miles
are tough to do. If anything, I'd delay the first service for a hundred
miles or so, just to let things break-in a little better. I delayed the
service and haven't had any problems (knock on wood).
