ST vs RS

Hello everyone,
new to the list. I don't have a ST or RS, but am seriously considering
them. I currently ride a 1999 BMW R1100S. I commute every day and need a
bike that's nimble with the traffic, yet can carry two people with no
problem. It also has to be comfortable over long highway stretches, and
entertaining on the twisty bits. One of the great reasons I'm considering
the Triumphs is due to the accessory plug and heated grip options, which is a
boon to winter riders. What are the pluses and minuses for the ST and RS
respectively? Any and all input is greatly appreciated :-)
