I have the same marks on my right lower. Under normal riding conditions, the peg will scrape first. When two-up, without compensating the rear suspension with additional preaload, and taking a bumpy turn with dips, the fairing will hit well before the peg scrapes!!!!!!

Are there lots of folk on the list who have the same grind mark on their
bike as Mr. Rocke? Is this a problem, or just a mark of honor ? This
picture http://www.triumphnet.com/st/upload/belly_rash.jpg says a lot. Those
new tires must do wonders for the handling of the bike?
