Re: (GenMar) bar risers & Triumph Manual

Maybe you're fairing needs to be tweaked a bit, 2mm is a tiny
amount of clearence.

The triumph manual is gameboy intensive. There are no updates
to the book for the 99 and 00 model years. You can expect to
shell out $100 USD for the shop manual and $1250 for the official
Triumph gameboy tool. The cost of admission doesn't include acsess
to tunes and flashrom updates though. I'm still waiting to hear
from the guy in Austrailia about his systems capabilities and
what the pc requirements are. his sit is:

Re: (GenMar) bar risers .

Well, I'm baffled by that. I checked mine again last night. The
bike has
never been dropped (yet - touching wood etc.), the fairing is
standard and
the dip/main beam switch definitely hits the fairing on full
right lock,
just enough to push the screen up a couple of mm. The first dealer
I asked
in Germany told me that the risers weren't allowed here as they
restricted
steering travel.

So what's different between EU and US bikes?
- - - are the dip/main beam switches different? I found a photo
on the heated
grips page which looks like Eric's left bar (red & blue tank
paint job) and
they seem to be just the same. I know my switch cluster is the
same as
other STs in Germany!

- - - is the front fork setup different - e.g. EU models have the
fork further
up in the triple clamp? But that would make EU models steer slower,

wouldn't it? Anyone in the US care to measure their front forks
and post
the result?

What else could it be? Surely I'm not a lone voice raving in
the
wilderness???
