Re: Tyres,Chains Fuel Gauge,Hard Luggage

     Daryl,

I have a set of Azaros on the ST and can vouch for their wet weather
performance. Even in Irish and Welsh downpours the Avons are
unshakeable and the profile seems to work well with the STs suspension
and geometry. I find that the Sport IIs are lasting well (2000 miles
and the front looks just scrubbed in, the rear is about 1/3 to 1/2
worn) but I suspect that they may square off on the type of journey
you are describing. The standard Azaro is still excellent in the wet
and gives exceptional wear rates. Handling and feedback are similar,
you simply sacrifice some grip for extra life. Next change I intend
running a standard Azaro on the rear and a sport II on the front.

     Martin,
     Dublin, Ireland
