I was sure I had read something about a speed restriction on the package of
the RCSplus at the bike shop, but when I called the 1-800 number for Sigma
earlier today, the guy I spoke to suggested that there was no such
restriction, even though I was expecting the opposite. I think you are
correct, but there is no mention of the limit on Sigma's website
(http://www.sigmasport.com)
I also thought I read on the package of the the BC1200 that it was
speed-restricted as well. And their website confirms that the speed limit
is 122 mph (ie. too low). The Sigma guy said he thought their website was
wrong. I lost quite a bit of confidence in the accuracy of the info I was
getting at this point. In any event the BC1200 features favour portability
between different bikes which isn't a big deal for me.
To the Sigma guy's credit he did mention the rear wheel sensor kit. I just
wasn't sure if it was going to be needed. With my luck the bike shop won't
have it in stock anyway.
