semi scientific analysis

How about creating a folder to store everyone's mileage for tire
wear? Nothing too complex, say measured tread depth when new and then
every 500 miles till replacement. Also a brief description of geography
and riding style. I've tried searching the archives for this but it's
scattered all around and mostly subjective. I barely have 3000 miles on
the stock Bridgestone and that includes 1000 run-in miles. Tires are a
major consumable ($) and it would be helpful to have some hard numbers
to base the next purchase. Just a thought. Dave Stafford
