Re: Transporting your bike



Good point Neil. 
I had the same concerns, as I have trailered the bike with the
relatively soft handgrips.
The throttle side really got bunched up (I assume because of the thinner
material). My fix was to use some 1.5" PVC piping, cut to appropriate
length. It slips over the left hand grip just fine. I needed to split
then spread the throttle side.
I cut it lengthwise and then heated, pulled apart about .5". It now
slips over the grip fairly easily. The harness then slips over the PVC.

And I tried the heaters out since, and they seem to work just fine. I
believe the heating elements are in the "fibre" looking sleeve
underneath the grips.
