I suspect US
In the UK, we have these multipurpose high-profile law companies that
advertise a lot on the TV, claiming that they can get you large sums of
money if you can prove negligence on the part of your employer causing you
to fall down stairs and smash your face, or recouping costs in the event of
a driver-less accident and so on. It might be worth a try.
But surely motor insurance is mandatory in the States too, so at least the
guy should be prosecuted and persecuted, then hung drawn and quartered by
the forensic police?
