I have heavy leather gloves with a thinsulate lining for those few cold days
in Florida (it is all relative). I also have the heated grips.
Yes, the heat will penetrate and keep my hands toasty.
There is a high / low setting for the switch.
Can't help with the heated vest thing. Never needed such down here. Just
pull on my polar fleece high-neck pullover, zip the thinsulate liner into my
leather jacket and close all the vents. :-)
